About Us
We are the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure! Our promise is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. Our service area covers the state of Maryland with the exception of Prince George's and Montgomery counties. Since 1992, Komen Maryland has worked to identify gaps in breast health coverage in Maryland and fund grants to fill those gaps. Komen for the Cure, awarded Komen Maryland the 2007 Affiliate of the Year Award for our progressive grants and education programs. Nancy honored us by saying, "The Affiliate has acknowledged the variances in its population and has made great efforts to assess the differences geographically and culturally in order to serve its residents in the most effective way."
