Massage Envy will host Massage for the Cure at locations throughout the United States. Each location will donate $15 for each one-hour therapeutic massage given on September 14. The Anne Arundel Women's Golf Organization is hosting the "Play 18 for a Cure" tournament to benefit the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The competition is four person best ball, with a shot-gun start and includes a continental breakfast, box lunch, contests, prizes, a silent auction, and awards dinner. Maryland Delaware Rocketry Association will be hosting Red Glare IX at Higgs Farm in Price, MD. This year Red Glare will be going Pink to support Komen Maryland. 50-75% of all raffle sales will benefit Komen Maryland. Click here for more information. Balfour Beatty Communities is hosting their 4th Annual 5K Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on October 16, 2010 at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland. Pre-registrations is $25 per person. Register before Thursday, September 30 and receive a FREE event t-shirt!
Walk day registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m. Vendors, guest speakers and door prizes will be present. This event is open to the public.

Honoring the Promise
Thirty years ago, Nancy G. Brinker made a promise to her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to rid the world of breast cancer. This October, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is honoring the 30-year impact of that promise with an historic evening of awards and entertainment at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Tickets available soon.

Join us at Harley-Davidson of Annapolis, for a ladies only event that will host many community businesses. Providing food, fun and a fabulous silent auction. Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker, founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, will be the featured speaker at Network 2000’s Women of Excellence luncheon at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.
This annual event is Network 2000’s primary fundraiser and proceeds support both its mission as well as other charitable organizations who share its goals. Network 2000 is an organization promoting the advancement of women in the corporate world.

Promise Me Book Tour with Ambassador Brinker
Join us for an inspiring evening as Nancy G. Brinker, Founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure signs copies of her new book, Promise Me, at the Barnes and Noble on Reistertown Road. Ambassador Brinker will also be answering questions from audience member.
Barnes and Noble is located at 1819 Reistertown Road, Baltimore, MD 21208. Copies of Promise Me will be available for purchase prior to the event.
