Towson Women's Basketball team's annual "WBCA Pink Zone" game. Towson Center, Towson, Maryland.
Watch the Tigers "shoot out" breast cancer" during their game against the Northeastern Huskies. Fans are encouraged to wear PINK to raise awareness and join the fight against breast cancer. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for kids. $2 from each ticket will be donated to Komen Maryland. Players will also wear pink and fans will have an opportunity to purchase a special pink shirt at the game. All proceeds from the shirts will benefit Komen Maryland. Parking is free.

The Komen Maryland Distinguished Lectureship featuring Dr. Otis Brawley
“New Evidence on the Role of Race and Ethnicity in Breast Cancer”
Groundbreaking new research points to physiological differences in breast tumors that play a significant role in diagnosis and prognosis, particularly in women of color. This lecture will explore all aspects of the etiology, treatment, and survival rates of breast cancer in relation to socioeconomic, genetic, and racial contributors to disparities. The Anne Arundel Women's Golf Organization is hosting the "Play 18 for a Cure" tournament to benefit the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The competition is four person best ball, with a shot-gun start and includes a continental breakfast, box lunch, contests, prizes, a silent auction, and awards dinner.
