The Baltimore Nighthawks, a professional women’s tackle football team and proud members of the Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL), has teamed up with the City of Baltimore to host a pre-season game that will raise awareness about breast cancer and hunger and also introduce women’s professional tackle football to a much larger audience. This game will benefit the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Bea Gaddy Family Center in an effort to provide support to both of these worthy organizations.
Come support the Baltimore Nighthawks on Saturday, March 21, 2009 as they take on the DC Divas. Kickoff is at 1:00pm at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. One dollar from every ticket sold will benefit the MD Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to Bea Gaddy Family Center in exchange for a raffle ticket. A ticket will be pulled at half time for a chance to come onto the field and participate in a $10,000 football toss. Certain restrictions apply for participation. Tickets are on sale for $10 at www.mybaltimorenighthawks.com under the Announcements tab or by going to www.brownpapertickets.com/event/56516 .
