The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® is less than a month away! Register by Wednesday, Sept. 15 to get your Race t-shirt for FREE!


We need YOUR help to make this year's Race a huge success!  Of the funds raised, 75% will stay in the state of Maryland to help residents just like you.

During 2010, an estimated 207,090 new cases of invasive breast cancer will occur.  A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer at the rate of once every 3 minutes.  With events like Race for the Cure®, Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is combating those statistics through research, grants and educational programs.

Grants 

Komen Maryland is proud to announce the release of our Request for Applications for grant funding in 2011-12. Grants will be made to support collaborative and innovative programs to reduce breast cancer disparities and mortality across Maryland.

Promise Me

Promise Me is the inspirational story of how a promise made to a dying sister ignited the global breast cancer movement.  Nancy G. Brinker, Founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, shares the powerful story about her thirty-year-long mission to change the way the world though of, spoke of, and treated breast cancer.
 
Nancy G. Brinker, founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, will be in Baltimore on November 4th to sign copies of Promise Me. The book signing will take place at the Barnes and Noble in Pikesville from   7 p.m. - 9 p.m..
