2009 RFTC

Thank you for your support of the 2009 Susan G. Komen Maryland Race for the Cure®!

Thanks to you, the Race raised just over $3 million! Seventy-five percent of this money will fund local programs that help Maryland women and families affected by breast cancer. The remaining 25% funds national breast cancer research, often occurring at Maryland institutions.

In addition, we had tremendous support for the Race from our business community: $1.7 million in-kind media support and another $600,000 in-kind support from local businesses.

The Race had over 29,000 registered participants, 2000 survivors, and 1000 volunteers.

Please join us again this year! The 2010 Race will be Sunday, October 3, 2010.
